Mia-Wexford

Hello, I’m Mia Wexford, an IT security professional based in Australia with a strong focus on VPN technologies, digital privacy, and network protection. Over the past fifteen years, I’ve combined formal education with hands-on experience to help individuals and organisations secure their digital environments.

I graduated from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), earning a degree in Information Technology with a concentration in network systems and cybersecurity. While my studies gave me a solid technical foundation, it was practical experience that truly honed my skills.

From 2008 to 2012, I worked as a Network Administrator and Security Analyst at a major Australian telecom company, gaining deep insights into large-scale network operations and security protocols. Between 2012 and 2016, I provided IT security consulting to small and medium businesses across Melbourne, implementing robust security measures, performing vulnerability assessments, and training staff on cybersecurity best practices.

Since 2016, I have worked independently as a security consultant and educator, specialising in VPN solutions and privacy tools for individuals, families, and organisations. My work includes personalised consultations, thorough security audits, educational content creation, and ongoing research into encryption, online tracking, and user protection strategies.

Beyond technical work, I am passionate about digital privacy advocacy. I engage in public discussions on data retention laws, contribute to cybersecurity forums, and collaborate with privacy-focused organisations to make online protection accessible and effective for everyday users.

My mission is to develop practical, user-friendly VPN and privacy solutions that empower Australians—and users worldwide—to take control of their online security. You can learn more about my work at https://miawexford.com/.

If you want, I can draft 2–3 more completely fresh variations with slightly different tones and storytelling styles for Mia Wexford’s biography. Do you want me to do that?
